Remove years of swirls, scratches, water spots, and oxidation โ and restore the deep, wet-look gloss your paint had the day it left the factory.
Paint correction is the multi-stage machine polishing process used to permanently remove defects in your vehicle's clear coat โ swirl marks, holograms, light scratches, water spots, oxidation, and washing-induced marring. Unlike a wax or filler product (which temporarily hides imperfections), paint correction physically removes a few microns of clear coat, leveling the defects and restoring a flawless surface.
What it can't fix: Deep scratches that have cut through the clear coat to the base coat. Those require touch-up or repainting. We'll always do a paint inspection before pricing.
Paint correction is measured in "steps" โ meaning how many machine polishing stages we use. The more stages, the more defects removed, and the higher the final gloss. About 90% of vehicles in Austin only need a 1-step. Here's how to know which is right for you.
A single pad-and-polish combination designed to remove light swirls and surface marring while restoring gloss in one pass. Removes roughly 60โ80% of defects. Perfect for:
Included in every ceramic coating package. Standalone pricing starts at $399 for sedans.
An aggressive compounding stage to cut out deeper defects, followed by a refining polish to remove the marks left by the compound and bring back full gloss. Removes 85โ95% of defects. Perfect for:
Add $350 to any ceramic package, or book as a standalone service.

Every Digii detail is performed personally by Drew. No shortcut products, no rushed prep, no “rinse-and-go” jobs masquerading as a real service. The result is paint, gel coat, and finishes that look better than the day they left the factory — and stay that way.

Send a few photos of your vehicle (especially under direct sunlight) and we'll recommend 1-step or 2-step plus accurate pricing.
Park in direct sunlight at noon. Look at the hood from a low angle. If you see fine spider-web swirls โ that's normal wash marring and a 1-step fixes it. If you see deep linear scratches, hazy oxidation, or stubborn water spots, a 2-step is the right call. Send us photos and we'll give you an honest recommendation โ we never upsell.
Yes โ when done correctly. Every clear coat has a finite thickness, and we measure it before polishing on flagship work. We use modern dual-action polishers (no rotary risk), high-quality pads, and progressive abrasive grades, removing only the minimum amount needed. A well-done correction leaves plenty of clear coat for the future.
The correction itself is permanent โ those defects are physically gone. New swirls only appear if the paint is mishandled (automatic car washes, dirty wash mitts, drying with rough towels). To preserve the work, we strongly recommend sealing it with ceramic coating and using proper wash methods.
1-step: 4โ6 hours for most vehicles. 2-step: a full day, sometimes two for larger SUVs or trucks with heavy defects. We work efficiently and don't rush โ quality is the whole point.
If you can catch a fingernail in the scratch, it has likely cut through the clear coat โ paint correction won't fully remove it. We can reduce its visibility significantly but full removal requires touch-up or paint. We'll always tell you upfront what's realistic.
Absolutely. Paint correction is a complete service on its own โ we'll finish it with a quality sealant or wax. But ceramic coating is the natural pairing: it locks in the corrected finish, makes maintenance dramatically easier, and protects all that hard work for years.
